DD Transport Chauffeur Service
Privacy policy
Effective 2 September 2026
1. About this policy
DD Transport Chauffeur Service respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, request or manage a booking, contact us, travel with us, or interact with a chauffeur.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the service, we may collect:
- your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number;
- pickup and drop-off addresses, selected map locations, dates, times and route information;
- flight number, terminal, passenger and luggage counts;
- child-seat, wheelchair, accessibility or special-luggage requirements that you choose to provide;
- booking notes, change, cancellation and invoice requests, and communications with us;
- payment status, transaction references and refund records supplied by Stripe, but not your complete card number; and
- technical and security information such as IP address, browser details and timestamps needed to operate and protect the service.
3. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you through the website, secure booking links, email, telephone and messaging services. If you choose “Use current location”, your browser asks for permission and the selected nearby address may be used as the pickup location. We may also receive booking and payment status from service providers or information from a person arranging travel for another passenger.
4. Why we use it
We use personal information to calculate routes and prices, review and confirm bookings, take payment, arrange vehicles and chauffeurs, provide journey updates, handle changes, cancellations and refunds, issue invoices, respond to enquiries, maintain records, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.
5. When we disclose it
We disclose only the information reasonably needed to provide or protect the service. Recipients may include assigned chauffeurs, Google Maps Platform for address and route functions, Stripe for payment processing, email or messaging providers, website hosting and technical support providers, professional advisers, insurers and authorities where required by law.
6. Overseas processing
Some technology providers may process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries in which their services operate. Their locations and handling practices can change. We take reasonable steps appropriate to the service and encourage you to review the privacy information published by Google, Stripe and any messaging provider you choose to use.
7. Storage, security and retention
We use access controls, private booking links and operational security measures designed to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access or disclosure. No internet service is completely risk free. We retain information only for as long as reasonably required for bookings, accounting, disputes, safety, security and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it where appropriate.
8. Website measurement
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand, without identifying you, how visitors use this website — for example which pages are viewed, what is clicked and where people stop during booking — so we can make it easier to use. These tools may set cookies and record anonymous usage such as clicks, scrolling and page views. Anything you type into our forms (such as your name, phone, email, addresses and notes) is masked and not recorded by these tools. Private booking, payment-status and customer-management pages are excluded from analytics. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
9. Access and correction
You may ask for access to personal information we hold about you or request a correction. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some legal exceptions may apply.
10. Questions and complaints
Contact us at [email protected] or +61 420 762 121. Please explain your concern and how you would like it resolved. We will review it and respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
11. Updates
We may update this policy when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the version presented with a booking request.
For urgent journey changes, use the contact details above rather than a privacy request.
